Seated Cable Row

If you are a regular at the gym, then you must be aware of this weightlifting machine. This machine helps in asserting pressure on your muscles in the best possible manner, and that is why it has been included in the list of best devices for weightlifting. You must sit on the seated cable row and get ahold of the handle you will pull towards yourself for using this machine. You need to maintain an excellent form by straightening your back and, at the same time, squeezing your shoulder blades. Like it is done in the pulldowns, the weights on this machine can also be adjusted by the user to change the respective pins or any other mechanisms provided. It depends on the individual type of seated cable row you are using at the gym. This helps in targeting the latissimus dorsi muscles in your body as well, present in your back.

Cable Lat Pulldown

The cable lat pulldown is undoubtedly one of the best machines for weightlifting, and there are many justified reasons behind this. It is said to be a classic pull exercise. It usually comes with a cable machine in which the respective user must pull a weighed cable to the extent that it comes to your face level. The body movement that occurs while using cable lat pulldown tends to work directly with the Latissimus muscles in your body and the large muscles located below your shoulder area on both sides of your back.

Back Extension Bench

Another name used for this machine is a Hyperextension Machine, and due to its functioning, it is said to be amongst the best devices for weightlifting. The usage of this machine for weightlifting allows you to hook both your feet under the respective pads on it; you are then required to lower your torso across the other place and make efforts towards lifting again for returning to your initial position. When you make the forwards movement, it tends to flex your back, and when you get back into your initial post, this movement results in extending your back. If the person tends to go a little bit further and passes the natural line of his/her back, this is referred to as hyperextension.

The back-extension bench is a great weightlifting machine that primarily works with your lower back as well as the abdominals. If you remove the support given for your torso, this results in creating a similar exercise known as the glute-ham raise. The gym experts highly recommend this exercise for those focused on weightlifting, as it tends to work with your hamstring muscles that are crucial in these cases.

Smith Machine

The smith machine is another machine under the wing of some of the best devices for weightlifting. It comes with a rack on which the bars can be adjusted depending on the user’s respective convenience. Each of the var usually weighs around 10 kilograms. It also consists of a frame that allows the user to practice squats and bench presses. The smith machine’s frame enables the user to completely lock the machine’s bars in their place on the hooks on both sides concerning the front uprights.  There is no doubt about the fact that amateurs, as well as beginners, can use the smith machine, but one thing that you need to keep in mind at all times is that if you make use of too much weight on the device, then this can prove to be a dangerous move, until and unless a spotter is made use of.
