Intermittent fasting for weight loss is quite an impressive technique. As the word intermittent refers to an activity occurring at irregular intervals, intermittent fasting involves cycling between the time of eating and fasting. It makes a person have a healthy and simple lifestyle. The person tends to focus on the random habits of weight loss, or specific diet charts concentrate on what to eat and what not to, but rather than this, the person focuses on the eating pattern, or in simple words, we can say the person does focus on what time to eat.

Intermittent fasting and its impact on a daily life

People on intermittent fasting focus on “A healthy lifestyle approach,” and they follow a pattern of eating, making sure to take the right amount of calories and nutrients required by the body and weight reduction. Most people who are interested in intermittent fasting have a desired goal to reduce weight. Intermittent fasting forces people to intake fewer calories. Moreover, it increases the function of various body hormones that support the individual to reduce weight. Low levels of insulin, increased rate of growth hormones, and increased norepinephrine all help the body to burn the stored energy. Short time fasting is considered acceptable because it increases the body metabolic rate at least 14%, burn more calories.

Intermittent fasting not only increases your metabolic rate also lower down the amount of food an individual intake. A review of 2014 indicates that intermittent fasting helps to reduce weight approximately from 3-8 % in a few weeks. People also reduce their belly fats that cause various diseases. Some studies again proved that as compared to other diet plans, intermittent fasting does not cause a higher rate of muscle loss.

Reduce Insulin Resistance and the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes features are high blood sugar levels due to the lower rate of insulin. This type of fasting has a direct effect on diabetes by producing an increased reduction of blood sugar levels. Some studies claim that fasting reduces 3-6% of blood sugar levels. Moreover, intermittent fasting works as a protective shield for those who are standing at the edge of developing type 2 diabetes. Gender differences can be seen as after the 22 days of continuous fasting; females experience worse control of blood sugar levels.

Reduce Oxidative Stress and Inflammation in the Body

Oxidative is included in some of the essential steps towards aging and numerous diseases. Some free radicals respond with some molecules and cause damage to our bodies. But intermittent fasting increases the body’s capacity to tolerate oxidative stress. Some studies also claim that intermittent fasting prevents inflammation.

Beneficial For Heart Health

Intermittent fasting is known as helpful in reducing different diseases such as blood pressure, LDL, inflammatory markers, cholesterol level, and blood triglycerides. However, many studies are conducted on animals and cannot be implemented on humans without further investigations.

Importance of intermittent fasting

The intermittent fasting follows this schedule to lose weight.

1 This method requires a person to skip breakfast and then to have his meal within 8 hours specified and then to continue with fasting for 16 hours a day.

2 This method involves not eating anything for straight 24 hours once or twice in a week.

3 This method allows the consumption of 500-600 calories restricted on two non- consecutive days in a week and follows a regular diet in the remaining five days.

The role of intermittent fasting on weight loss is quite visible and well organized in a way that it’s very much acceptable to make surety of what time to eat it also helps one in being managed. If a person has to follow intermittent fasting for weight reduction, the results are quite visible and much appreciative. There are even many reasons for its benefits, such as promising healthy lifestyles, improved patterns for eating, and different ways of intermittent fasting. One can decide what path to follow intermittent fasting for weight loss as in what way it suits them best.
